Modelador de malhas de polígonos 3D inspirado no Nendo

Wings 3D é um modelador de malhas de polígonos escrito inteiramente em Erlang. A interface do utilizador foi concebida para ser fácil de usar por utilizadores novatos e também avançados. Foi inspirado no famoso modelador Nendo (a partir de Izware.)

Ao contrário de outros programas de modelização semelhantes (como o Blender), este programa não fornece suporte nativo para fazer animações (embora você possa usar os modelos criados numa ferramenta de animação).

Wings 3D suporta importar os seguintes formatos: Nendo (NDO), 3D Studio (3DS), Wavefront (OBJ), e Adobe Illustrator 8 (AI).

Wings 3D suporta exportar para os seguintes formatos: Nendo (NDO), 3D Studio (3DS), Wavefront (OBJ), VRML (Wrl), RenderMan (RIB), Hash:Animation Master (MDL), Renderware (RWX), Yafray, Toxic, e FBX através de um plug-in de terceiros.
