blkreplay는 나중에 시각화할 I/O 작업의 대기 시간 및 처리량을 측정하는 동안 OS의 블록 레이어를 구동하는 유틸리티입니다.

blkreplay는 인공적인 로드 (무작위 read-write sweeps, 다양한 종류의 과부하 테스트)를 생성하거나 blktrace 또는 프러덕션 서버에서 실행되는 유사한 유틸리티가 기록한 자연적 로드를 재생할 수 있습니다.

blkreplay는 물리 하드웨어 테스트, 서로 다른 브랜드의 하드 디스크 또는 RAID 컨트롤러 비교, SSD 캐쉬 효과 평가, iSCSI vs Fibrechannel등과 같은 다양한 블록 레벨 전송을 비교하는데 사용됩니다.
