GNU 패키지 mcron (Mellor의 cron)은 (데비안 패키지는 비록 이러한 방법으로 구 성되지는 않았지만)Vixie cron을 100% 호환 교체할 수 있습니다. 이 프로그램은 순수하게 Guile로 작성되었으며, 작업이 실행되야 할 때 지정하는 극단의 유연성 을 위해 설정 파일을 스키마에 (뿐만아니라 Vixie의 오리지날 형식으로도) 작성 할 수 있도록 합니다.
