Wmbutton mostra nove pulsanti che possono essere configurati tramite un file di configurazione. Ogni pulsante può essere assegnato al massimo a tre comandi (uno per ogni pulsante del mouse). È intesa come applicazione per il pannello dei gestori delle finestre di X come Window Maker (pacchetto wmaker), AfterStep, BlackBox ed Enlightenment.
