Apache Arrow definisce un formato di memoria a colonne indipendente dal linguaggio per dati piatti e annidati, organizzato per operazioni analitiche efficienti su hardware moderni come CPU e GPU. Il formato di memoria di Arrow supporta anche letture zero-copy per un accesso rapidissimo ai dati senza costi aggiuntivi di serializzazione.

Questa libreria fornisce un'API Python per le funzionalità offerte dalle librerie C++ di Arrow, insieme a strumenti per l'integrazione di Arrow e l'interoperabilità con Pandas, NumPy e altri software nell'ecosistema Python.
