MPH 2B Damase è un tipo di carattere SuperUnicode, che include le serie nel Piano 1 e quelle aggiunte nell'ultimo rilascio dello standard Unicode (4.1). Queste serie coprono tifinagh, kharosthi, hPhags-pa, antico persiano cuneiforme, ecc.
La gestione di alcune scritture non è completa perché il tipo di carattere non ha la sostituzione contestuale (tramite tabelle OpenType) e i glifi compositi, che sono richiesti per gestire in maniera completa kharosthi e altre scritture. Leggere il README Debian per una discussione più completa dei problemi che questo può causare.
