ripetitore di pacchetti TCP/IP nello strato applicativo

Ripete i pacchetti TCP e UDP dall'interno verso l'esterno, o dall'esterno verso l'interno, di un firewall. Stone gestisce SSL; può cifrare/decifrare pacchetti con la libreria OpenSSL. Stone può essere usato anche come un proxy http piccolissimo. Conversione POP -> APOP; con stone e un programma di posta che non gestisce APOP, si può avere accesso a un server APOP.
