physlock è un'alternativa a vlock, è equivalente a "vlock -an". È stato scritto perché vlock blocca alcuni meccanismi del kernel Linux come l'ibernazione e la sospensione e può quindi essere usato solamente con alcune limitazioni. physlock è progettato per essere più leggero e non ha un'interfaccia a plugin.
