Brandy è un interprete per BBC Basic. Il suo codice sorgente è compatibile con l'interprete BASIC VI in RISC OS.

BBC BASIC VI è la versione a 64 bit in virgola mobile di BASIC che era fornita con le macchine RISC OS Acorn, a sua volta uno sviluppo della versione di BASI di BBC Micro. Matrix Brandy mira ad essere compatibile a livello di codice sorgente con esso, incluse alcune estensioni che si trovano nella versione RISC PC e nel successivo RISC OS 5, come era disponibile per diversi sistemi incluso Raspberry Pi.
