Questo pacchetto contiene il programma FastCGI mapcache, come alternativa al modulo di Apache disponibile in libapache2-mod-mapcache.

MapCache è un server che implementa una cache di tessere per velocizzare l'accesso a livelli WMS. Gli obiettivi primari sono di essere veloce e facilmente installabile in produzione, mantenendo le funzionalità essenziali (e altre!) che ci si aspetta da una soluzione per cache di tessere.
