Protocolo de adaptación de motores de ajedrez, conecta motores UCI con xboard

Las interfaces de ajedrez comunes tienen una interfaz de entrada «winboard/xboard», los motores de ajedrez modernos hablan el protocolo UCI (Interfaz de Ajedrez Universal, o «universal chess interface»). Este protocolo de adaptación hace posible usar interfaces de ajedrez estándar, como xboard o scid con motores que hablen UCI y jugar contra ellos.
