Værktøj til at skjule bit med steganografi

Steghide er et steganografisk værktøj som skjuler bit fra en datafil i nogle af de mindst signifikante bit fra en anden fil. Det sker på den måde, at eksistensen af datafilen ikke er synlig og ikke kan bevises.

Steghide er designet til at være portabel og kunne konfigureres. Egenskaber består i at skjule data i bmp-, jpeg-, wav- og au-filer, blowfish-kryptering, MD5- hashing af kodeord til blowfish-nøgler, samt pseudo-vilkårlig distribuering af skjulte bit i beholderdataene.

Steghide er nyttig i kriminaltekniske undersøgelser.
