Reference-assisteret redskab til ordning af genomrækkefølge

Ragout (Reference-Assisted Genome Ordering UTility) er et værktøj for kromosomniveauopsætning via flere referencer. Givet oprindelig samlingsfragmenter (contigs/scaffolds) og en eller flere relaterede referencer (fuldstændig eller i uddrag) fremstilles en kromosomskalasamling (som et sæt af scaffolds).

Fremgangsmåden er baseret på analyse af genom-omarrangementer (som inversioner eller kromosomale translokationer) mellem inddatagenomer og rekonstruktion af den mest sparsommelige struktur for målgenomet.

Ragout understøtter nu både små og store genomer (i pattedyrskala og -kompleksitet). Samlingen af højt polymorfiske genomer er i øjeblikket begrænset.
