modulo Perl per mappare i caratteri da e verso Unicoce UTF16

Questo modulo converte le stringhe da e verso il formato Unicode UCS2 a 2 byte. Tutte le mappature avvengono per mezzo della codifica UTF16 a 2 byte, non tramite la codifica UTF8 a 1 byte. Per convertire tra UTF8 e UTF16, usare Unicode::String.

Per ragioni storiche, questo modulo coesiste con Unicode::Map8. Utilizzare quest'ultimo a meno che non si abbia la necessità di trattare insiemi di caratteri >1 byte, come ad esempio il cinese GB2312. Comunque, se ci si limita ad usare le funzionalità di base (vedere la documentazione) si possono usare entrambi i moduli in modo equivalente.

Il pacchetto "libwww-perl" è necessario per eseguire l'esempio mirrorMappings.
