flash-kernel은 커널과 initramfs를 /boot 에서 로드하지 않는 임베이드 장치의 부트 위치에 커널과 initramfs를 넣는 스크립트 입니다. flash-kernel은 flash 메모리 (따라서 이름이 flash-kernel 입니다)에서 부트되는 장치뿐만 아니라 디 스크상에 특별한 부트 이미지를 요구하는 몇몇 장치도 지원합니다.
