L'idea è stata presa dal comportamento dei Mac: se un utente non è attivo per un certo periodo di tempo, scurisce automaticamente lo schermo. È progettato per i Thinkpad di IBM/Lenovo ma funziona con qualsiasi display controllabile tramite /sys/class/backlight/.
