filtro anti-spam con analisi statistiche basato su formule di Bayes

SpamOracle, conosciuto anche come "Saint Peter", è uno strumento per aiutare a identificare e filtrare "spam" (posta commerciale non richiesta). Procede tramite analisi statistiche delle parole che sono presenti nella posta, confrontando la frequenza delle parole con quelle presenti in un insieme, fornito dall'utente, di messaggi di posta riconosciuti come spam e come posta legittima. L'algoritmo di classificazione è basato sulla formula di Bayes ed è descritto nel documento "A plan for spam" di Paul Graham.

Questo programma è progettato per funzionare in congiunzione con procmail. I risultati dell'analisi sono emessi come header "X-Spam:" addizionale nei messaggi, seguito da "sì", "no" o "sconosciuto" e dettagli addizionali. Una regola procmail può poi testare questo header "X-Spam:" e consegnare la posta alla casella di posta appropriata.
