Goiardi è un'implementazione del server Chef scritta in Go. Può funzionare interamente in memoria con l'opzione di usare il disco per salvare e caricare i dati in memoria e gli indici di ricerca, traendo ispirazione da chef-zero, oppure può usare MariaDB/MySQL o PostgreSQL come backend di memorizzazione.
