Pinfo è un visualizzatore basato su console facile da usare per documenti Info.

I documenti Info sono un vecchio (pre-HTML) formato di documentazione ipertestuale che è tradizionalmente usato per la documentazione delle utilità GNU. Il lettore predefinito di GNU per le pagine Info (chiamato semplicemente "info") non è però molto facile da usare a causa delle sue inconsuete associazioni di tasti.

Pinfo fornisce un'interfaccia in qualche modo più facile da usare per leggere le pagine Info sulla console. Utilizza associazioni di tasti consuete (i tasti cursore fanno ciò che ci si aspetta e la navigazione in un documento è lineare).
