L'MTA (mail transfer agent) Courier è un server di posta/groupware integrato basato su protocolli liberi come ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, LDAP, TLS e HTTP. Courier fornisce servizi ESMTP, IMAP, POP3, posta web e mailing list all'interno di un'unica infrastruttura coerente.

Questo pacchetto fornisce il demone POP3 per Courier. Gestisce solo le email memorizzate nel formato Maildir.

POP3 via TLS è gestito dal regolare demone POP3 insieme al wrapper per TLS.
