L'API RESTful HPE per iLO è un'interfaccia di programmazione di applicazioni RESTful per la gestione di iLO e server HPE basati sul gestore dello chassis iLO.

REST (Representational State Transfer) è uno stile di architettura software basato sul web che consiste di un insieme di vincoli che si focalizzano sulle risorse di un sistema. La libreria REST iLO effettua le operazioni HTTP di base GET, POST, PUT, PATCH e DELETE sulle risorse usando l'architettura REST HATEOAS (Hypermedia as the Engine of Application State). L'API permette ai client di gestire iLO e interagire con esso attraverso un URL fisso e diversi URI.
