fornisce un ambiente chroot falso - utilità

Fakechroot precarica una libreria che sovrascrive le funzioni della libc, in modo da rendere possibile l'uso degli strumenti specifici di root senza avere i privilegi di root.

In un falso chroot si può cioè installare bootstrap di Debian, creare un ambiente di sviluppo e compilare pacchetti all'interno del sistema chroot con un normale utente non-root.
