Questo pacchetto implementa l'analizzatore e l'emettitore di YAML 1.1 LibYAML per R. YAML è un linguaggio intelligibile di markup. Con esso è possibile creare documenti facilmente leggibili che possono essere consumati da diversi linguaggi di programmazione, incluso R. Il pacchetto r-cran-yaml ha due funzioni principali: yaml.load e as.yaml. La funzione yaml.load è per l'analisi YAML: accetta un documento YAML come stringa e restituisce una struttura dati R.
