OpenTelemetry Python API

OpenTelemetry is an observability framework – an API, SDK, and tools that are designed to aid in the generation and collection of application telemetry data such as metrics, logs, and traces.

The OpenTelemetry API is a collection of language-specific APIs (designed to be language-agnostic) that standardize the way telemetry data is captured and processed. Consider it a contract between your application code and the actual implementation (SDK).
