Heroes ligner spillene »Tron« og »Nibbles«, men inkluderer mange grafiske forbedringer og nye spilfunktioner. I spillet skal du manøvrere en lille bil omkring i i verdenen og samle styrkebonusser mens du samtidig undgår forhindringer, dine modstanderes spor, og også dit eget spor.

Flere måder at spille på er tilgængelige, inklusive »få-alle-bonusserne«, krig til døden og »ram-fodgængerne«. Alle måderne kan spilles både alene eller mod andre (2 spillere; via opdelt skærm).

Du skal installere pakken heroes-sound-effects, hvis du ønsker lydeffekter, og pakken heroes-sound-tracks hvis du ønsker baggrundsmusik i spillet.
