UDPcast kan sende data simultant til mange destinationer på et LAN. Dette kan for eksempel bruges til - på en gang - at installere på alle pc'er i alle klasseværelser. Fordelen ved UDPcast fremfor andre metoder (såsom NFS, FTP etc.) er at UDPcast bruger Ethernets multisendingsmuligheder, hvilket betyder at det ikke vil tage længere tid at installere på 15 maskiner end den tid to maskiner tager.
