FUSE-baseret filsystem for adgang til MTP-enheder

Jmtpfs er et FUSE- og libmtp-baseret filsystem for adgang til MTP- enheder (Media Transfer Protocol). Det blev specifikt designet til at udveksler filer mellem Linux-systemer (og Mac OS X) og nyere Android- enheder, som understøtter MTP men ikke USB Mass Storage.

Formålet er at oprette et filsystem, der opfører sig godt, og giver værktøjer såsom find og rsync mulighed for at fungere som forventet. For at aktivere bestemte Android-programmer til at detektere og bruge de overførte filer, angives MTP-filtyper automatisk baseret på filindhold med brug af libmagic.
