Literate-programming-værktøj

Literate-programming giver programmøren mulighed for at skrive programkode og kodens dokumentation, med lige vægt lagt på hver. Dette hjælper med at fremstille veldokumenteret kode.

Til forskel fra andre literate-programming-værktøjer, så er funnelweb ikke afledt af Knuths cweb.

Det hævder at have de følgende tekniske funktioner:

 * Kan bruges med alle programmeringssprog
 * Kører på de fleste platforme
 * Moden og grundlæggende fejlfri (udgivet 1992)
 * Simpel; specifikt designet til at minimere fejl
 * Høj hastighed; forlænger ikke udviklingscyklussen
 * Opretter dokumentation i HTML- og TeX-former
