Asymptote er et kraftfuldt skriptbaseret vektorgrafiksprog til tekniske tegninger inspireret af MetaPost men med en forbedret C++-lignende syntaks. Asymptote tilbyder for figurer det samme høje niveau for præcis visning af tegn/former, som LaTeX gør for videnskabelig tekst.
