Tux Paint 是一款为儿童设计的简单画图软件。它并不是一款通用的画图工具，而只是为了使用得简单而且有趣。它带有音效和卡通角色，能让孩子知道正在发生什么，并且让他们玩的很开心。

Tux Paint 具有扩展性。刷子和橡皮图章的形状可以被拽进去或拉出来。例如，老师可以放一些动物的形状进去，然后让他的学生画一个生态系统出来。当孩子选中一个形状时，会播放出声音，并且会显示一个纹理的效果。
