Actualmente, o ADMesh apenas lê o formato de ficheiro STL que é usado para aplicações de prototipagem rápida, embora possa escrever em STL, VRML, OFF e DXF. Algumas características do admesh são: Preenchimento de buracos na malha adicionando facetas. Reparação de facetas, ligando facetas próximas. Reparação de direcções normais (ou seja, as facetas devem ser CCW). Remoção de facetas degeneradas (ou seja, facetas com 2 ou mais vértices iguais).
