biblioteca de ID Único Universal

A biblioteca libuuid gera e analisa ids únicos universais (uuid) de 128 bits. Um UUID é um identificador que é único no espaço e no tempo, no espaço de todos os UUIDs. Um UUID pode ser usado para múltiplos propósitos, de etiquetar objetos com tempo de vida curtíssimo a identificar de forma confiável objetos bastante persistentes numa rede.
