CERNLIB to zestaw narzędzi do analizy danych oraz bibliotek stworzonych na potrzeby fizyki doświadczalnej, zawiera jednak również aplikacje pomocne w innych dziedzinach, takich jak nauki biologiczne.

DZedit jest interaktywnym interfejsem dla systemu DZDOC (ZEBRA documentation) opracowanego w CERN. ZEBRA będąca częścią biblioteki Packlib pozwala na tworzenie złożonych struktur w języku FORTRAN 77. System DZDOC pomaga generować i utrzymywać dokumentację struktur danych ZEBRA.
