Rhythmbox is een eenvoudig te gebruiken programma voor het beheren en afspelen van uw muziek en ondersteunt een groot aantal muziekformaten (onder anderen mp3 en ogg). Oorspronkelijk geinspireerd door Apple's iTunes ondersteunt de huidige versie internetradio, iPod-integratie en ondersteuning voor andere draagbare muziekspelers, muziek-cd's branden en afspelen, muziek delen en podcasts.
