Multi-Taal TERMinal

Dit is een terminal emulator voor het X Window System, welke verscheidene coderingen ondersteunt inclusief ISO-8859-[1-11,13-16], TCVN5712, VISCII, TIS-620 (hetzelfde als ISO-8859-11), KOI8-{R,U,T}, CP{1251,1255}, GEORGEAN-PS, EUC-JP, EUC-JISX0213, ISO-2022-JP{,1,2,3}, Shift_JIS, Shift_JISX0213, ISO-2022-KR, EUC-KR, UHC, JOHAB, EUC-CN (aka GB2312), GBK, ISO-2022-CN, Big5, EUC-TW, HZ, UTF-8, en GB18030.

Dubbele-breedte tekens voor Aziatisch, gecombineerde tekens voor Thais, Vietnamees en andere diacritische tekens, BiDI (bi-directionaliteit) voor Arabisch en Hebreeuws alsook arabische tekenvormen zijn allen ondersteund. Hoewel mlterm indische complex talen ondersteunt zoals Hindi, is dit Debian pakket niet gecompileerd met ondersteuning voor het Indisch.

Daar mlterm de huidige locale controleert en de passende codering selecteert, hoeft u mlterm niet te configureren om uw taal en codering weer te geven.

mlterm ondersteunt ook unieke functies zoals het schuifbalk API, meerdere vensters, meerdere XIM, anti-aliasen gebruikmakend van FreeType en Xft, en zo verder.
