FSP is an alternative to anonymous FTP that is very resource friendly. The server does not fork so it can handle far more concurrent users. Also, the protocol is designed with a transmission failure backoff, so its transfers do not interfere with interactive network applications.
If you don't provide anonymous FTP access, you probably don't want this software either.
