dynamic floating and tiling window manager

A floating and tiling window manager for X11. It's extremely fast, small, dynamic and awesome.

Windows can be managed in several layouts: tiled, floating, spiral, etc. Each layout can be applied on the fly, optimizing the environment for the application in use and the task performed. Managing windows in tiled mode assures that no space will be waste on your screen. No gaps, no overlap.

Every function are available from the keyboard or from the mouse via a well designed user interface callback system.

awesome also includes a nice statusbar that can be customized with various widgets, giving the user full power on how to update these.

awesome has a good multi-screen (Xinerama) support.
