매크로 처리 언어

GNU `m4'는 정통 유닉스 매크로 처리 프로그램을 구현하였습니다. GNU `m4'가 확장된 기능(예를 들어, 매크로에서 9번째 위치하는 매개변수보다 더 많이 처리합니다)이 있지만, SVR4와 대부분 호환됩니다. `m4'는 파일을 포함하고, 쉘 명령을 실행하고, 산술 계산하고, 기타 여러가지를 위한 기능을 내장합니다. Autoconf는 `configure' 스크립트를 생성하기 위해 GNU `m4'가 필요합니다. 그러나 configure 스크립트를 실행하기 위해 필요한 것은 아닙니다.
