rsyslog는 syslogd(메시지 로깅를 지원하는 시스템 유틸리티)의 멀티스레드화된 구현으로, 아래와 같은 특징을 갖습니다:

 * 요구에 따라 작동하는(on-demand) 디스크 버퍼링
