CUPS를 쓰는 USB·병렬 프린터 자동 설정

foomatic은 데비안 및 기타 운영체제에서 일반적인 프린터의 설정을 쉽게 하는 인쇄 시스템입니다. foomatic은 프린터에 보내는 파일을 처리하는 방법이 들어 있어 CUPS 혹은 lpr같은 인쇄 스풀러와 프린터 사이의 접착제 역할을 합니다.

이 패키지는 컴퓨터의 병렬 또는 USB 포트에 연결된 프린터를 감지하고 그 프린터에 대한 foomatic을 사용하는 프린터 대기열을 자동으로 설치합니다. 이 대기열은 CUPS 웹 인터페이스(http://localhost:631/)나 foomatic GUI 도구를 사용해 관리할 수 있습니다.
