GHDL은 GCC 기술을 사용하는 VHDL 시뮬레이터입니다.

VHDL은 전기 시스템 개발을 목적으로, IEEE에서 표준화한 언어입니다.

GHDL은 IEEE 1076-1987 또는 IEEE 1076-1993 표준을 준수하는 VHDL 언어를 구현했습니다. GHDL은 VHDL 파일을 컴파일하고 사용자가 설계한 것을 시뮬레이트 (또는 실행)하는 바이너리를 만듭니다.

GHDL은 통합하지 않습니다: GHDL은 사용자가 설계한것을 netlist(회로구조 입력 파일)로 변환하지는 못합니다.
