辞書サーバ

本パッケージは、自然言語辞書データベース集から辞書定義にクライアントがアク セスできるようにする TCP ベースの辞書サーバを提供します。

多くの辞書データベースが dictd で利用できるようパッケージ化されています。 /usr/share/doc/dictd/README.Debian.gz ファイルに説明があります。

英語辞書サーバとして使えるようにするには、dict-gcide または dict-wn のいず れかが必須です。どちらもインストールすることを強く推奨します。コンピュータ 関連の語彙にご興味があれば、少なくとも dict-jargon, dict-foldoc または dict-vera のインストールを推奨します。

クライアントプログラム dict は個別にパッケージ化されており、このサーバを利 用する予定のあるマシンすべてにインストールが必要です。
