Nessus は、セキュリティ監査ツールです。 Nessus は修正されるべき脆弱性 を発見するため、セキュリティモジュールを試みることが可能です。
Nessus は 2 つの部分、すなわちサーバとクライアントから成り立っています。 サーバ/デーモン である nessusd はアタックを引き受け、一方、クライアント である nessus はユーザに素晴らしい X11/GTK+ インターフェイスを提供します。
本パッケージには、GTK+ 版クライアントが含まれます。他の形式や他のプラット フォームでもクライアントは存在します。
