L'uso prolungato di mouse e tastiera può causare lesioni da sforzo ripetuto (in inglese RSI, Ripetitive Strain Injury), perciò si raccomanda agli utenti di computer di fare pause regolari.

RSIBreak aiuta a prevenire lesioni da sforzo ripetuto tenendo traccia dell'uso e rammentando periodicamente agli utenti di fare delle pause. Durante i periodi di pausa, RSIBreak può mostrare un messaggio non invadente, bloccare completamente lo schermo o presentare una serie di immagini.
