Sistema documentale per informazioni in linea e stampate

Texinfo è un sistema documentale che usa un singolo file sorgente per produrre sia informazioni in linea sia documenti per la stampa.

Con Texinfo è possibile creare un documento stampato con le normali caratteristiche di un libro, tra cui capitoli, sezioni, rimandi e indici. Dallo stesso file sorgente è possibile generare un file Info in linea dotato di nodi, menù, collegamenti e indici.
