aview è un visualizzatore di immagini e riproduttore video di alta qualità per ASCII art. È perlopiù utilizzato con browser testuali come lynx, links o w3m.

Supporta i formati immagine pnm, pgm, pbm, e ppp, così come i formati video FLI e FLC. Supporta anche l'output attraverso stdio, (n)curses e S-Lang e supporta anche gpm.
