scarica un newsfeed ridotto da un server NNTP

Slrnpull scarica un newsfeed ridotto da un server NNTP in una directory di spool locale. Questa può essere poi usata dai newsreader (come slrn), che possono leggere uno spool locale senza un server NNTP.

In combinazione con il newsreader slrn, slrnpull è in grado di fornire una vera lettura offline dei newsgroup. È possibile dire a slrnpull di scaricare solo gli header dei messaggi, per poi contrassegnare quelli interessanti con slrn e recuperarne il corpo durante la successiva esecuzione di slrnpull.

Slrnpull ha inoltre l'abilità di applicare filtri agli articoli così che non vengano scaricati dal server.
