La distribuzione EBNETD è una serie di server che forniscono metodi per accedere ai cosiddetti "CD-ROM book" via TCP/IP, usando la libreria EB. I libri CD-ROM sono un popolare formato per fornire dizionari e libri di consultazione multimediali in Giappone. Sono supportati svariati formati come EB, EBG, EBXA, EBXA-C, S-EBXA e EPWING.

ebhhttpd è un server HTTP specializzato che fornisce un metodo per accedere a libri CD-ROM su server remoti via HTTP/1.0 e HTTP/1.1. Si noti che non si può usare ebhttpd per scopi WWW generici.
