controllo dinamico della frequenza della CPU per processori che lo permettono

cpudyn controlla la velocità delle macchine Intel SpeedStep, Pentium 4 Mobile, AMD Powernow, PowerPC e Crusoe LongRun tramite cpufreq compilato nel kernel o delle macchine che supportano il throttling ACPI. Fa risparmiare la batteria, abbassa le temperature e può mettere in stand-by i dischi del computer se passa un certo intervallo di tempo senza operazioni di I/O. Funziona anche con un file system journaled come Ext3, XFS o ReiserFS. Supporta persino la nuova interfaccia per i kernel 2.6.x.
