Anthy è un metodo di input per il giapponese che funziona in X11 e Emacs. Converte testi in hiragana in testi misti kana e kanji. È implementato come libreria e salva in modo sicuro le informazioni private in ~/.anthy/. Anthy è perciò semplice e sicuro (le informazioni sono protette da intrusioni e spionaggio).
